Student concerts from shakuhachi camp of the Rockies 2015

Both the Masters and student concerts were performed in the Dome. The acoustic qualities of the dome is amazing.

The concert went for just over two hours. There were group and solo performances.

Masters concert of the June 2015 shakuhachi camp of the Rockies

The masters concert started with a piece outside of the dome before moving to the stage.

Morning Blowing Ro at the beginning of the day at camp.

Every morning before we started our lessons, we'd warm up playing Ro (the lowest note on the shakuhachi).

With nice weather and out in nature it was wonderful to start our day outside playing.

We all focused our flutes torwards a meditation pond behind the main building.

Shakuhachi Duet Nite!

Always a fun event! Last night at shakuhachi camp of the Rockies we did a group class where we played multi part pieces. Some of the players are beginners and even more have never seen these pieces. It's hectic but fun.

shakuhachi camp, more fun.

The camp with has little "camping" and very nice accommodations is a beautiful place. It's tucked into the foot hills of the Rocky Mountains.

Sun Rase Ranch that hosts our event is a spiritual originization that's been around for many years. Here a link to their web site. http://sunriseranch.org

There's a great Lilly pond with a large statue, a great place that is very meditative.

Repainted my massage office

It's been about ten years with one color on the massage room walls. I decided to go darker and use a couple bamboo strips to accent the one wall. I really like how it came out!
