Just me, dressed up and having a great time!

BUILT IN 1919, MINEBROOK GOLF CLUB IS ONE OF NEW JERSEY'S OLDEST GOLF COURSES. ORIGINALLY NAMED MUSCENETCONG COUNTRY CLUB, THE COURSE WAS REDESIGNED THROUGHOUT THE 1960S AND AN ADDITIONAL NINE HOLES WERE ADDED TO FORM HIDDEN HILLS GOLF CLUB. TODAY, AFTER MANY IMPROVEMENTS, MINEBROOK GOLF CLUB REMAINS TRUE TO ITS ORIGINAL DESIGN AND REPUTATION FOR EXCEPTIONAL GOLF EXPERIENCES.

Parent's 60th Wedding Anniversary Party

While I was back in New Jersey and Pennsylvania my Brothers and Sisters, and Sister-in-law setup an amazing surprise party for my Mom and Dad.  We had it at a local VFW hall and had the place decked out with balloons, table center pieces, and this great cake!
We were lucky and were able to get all four brothers and two sister to attend. Two brothers drove up from NC, my sister from upstate  New York and I flew in from Arizona. It's always great to see the whole family together. We had about 70 people total come to the party. It was a nice mix of family and friends. Several of the guests my Mom and Dad had not seen in many years.

There was a crazy amount of food on hand. A lot of it home made and some bought. We even had a pay bar setup. Here's my sister Melissa and I, what a fun afternoon.

Stewardship

The term Stewardship originally referred to someone with responsibilities to include everything the domestic, service and management needs of an entire household.   >>> I pledge to act as a Steward (a ward, guard, guardian, keeper) of all things in my life. I will act with responsibility for sustainable conservation and development of all things within our society. I am not the owner of this place or time, I am its Steward and will do everything within my means to pass this world on to our next generations as good or better than I received it.
I hope to start a series of posting on what we can do to ensure future generations can life healthy and happy lives.

Student concerts from shakuhachi camp of the Rockies 2015

Both the Masters and student concerts were performed in the Dome. The acoustic qualities of the dome is amazing.

The concert went for just over two hours. There were group and solo performances.

Masters concert of the June 2015 shakuhachi camp of the Rockies

The masters concert started with a piece outside of the dome before moving to the stage.

Morning Blowing Ro at the beginning of the day at camp.

Every morning before we started our lessons, we'd warm up playing Ro (the lowest note on the shakuhachi).

With nice weather and out in nature it was wonderful to start our day outside playing.

We all focused our flutes torwards a meditation pond behind the main building.
